Q: Where is the reception located?

A: The reception is located at 48 Freshwater Street, Scarness.

Q: What are the reception opening hours?

A: The reception is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 1pm on Saturday. It is closed on Sundays.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

A: Check-in is at 2pm, and check-out is at 10am.

Q: What if I arrive outside of reception hours?

A: For after-hours key collection, a secure lock box is available upon request. We will then send you an SMS to your mobile with all the details.

For after-hours key drop (if you are departing early in the morning), a secure lock box is situated in the basement and reception entrance.

Q: Is parking available?

A: Each apartment comes with one designated parking space in the underground car park. The car park height is 2 metres, and if you have booked a 3-bedroom apartment, there are 2 parking spaces. For vehicles exceeding height restrictions, additional free street parking is available on the Freshwater grass verge at the back.

Q: Are you pet friendly?

A: Sorry we are not able to take any pets here, except for registered service animals.

Q: What security features are in place?

A: Each apartment is provided with two security fobs for access to the front entries after hours and the grounds. The Bay Apartments also offers a private botanical garden with a high fence and security gates to ensure privacy and security for families with children.

Q: Are the apartments self-contained?

A: Yes, all of our apartments are self-contained, providing you with all the space and facilities you need for a comfortable stay. We also supply a complimentary starter pack of amenities and tea and coffee items to help you settle in. There is a Coles and Woolworths within a 2 min drive and a smaller convenience store within walking distance.

Q: What facilities are available?

A: The Bay Apartments offers a range of facilities for our guests, including:

  • A magnificent pool area with a 25-metre lap pool (heated to 32 degrees in winter), a hot spa, and a children's wading pool.
  • A barbecue area with plenty of seating and equipment.
  • An in-house gym and sauna.
  • A 3/4 size tennis court with complimentary racquet and ball hire.
  • Access to the beautiful Hervey Bay Esplanade, which spans over 16 kilometres.

Terms of accommodation

  • Once a booking is confirmed with a deposit, prices will not be altered. There is no refund for early departure. Although we will try to meet your requests, room preferences and requests are not guaranteed.
  • The primary guest listed on the booking and checking in must be aged 18 years or over. Identification will be required when checking in. Check-out time is by 10:00am on the day of departure.
  • We have a very strict 'no party' policy and no noise after 10pm. We ask guests to respect those around them and consider other guests around you. Should these guidelines not be followed, guests may be asked to leave, without refund.
  • Please be aware a $250 preauthorisation will be charged against your credit card as a security hold on the day of check-in. This is to cover against lost keys/fobs, damage, breakages and carpet or other cleaning. The preauthorisation is a security hold and not a charge and will be released 7-9 days after checkout.
  • Payment Methods: Direct Deposit, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard and Amex accepted. Cash payment not accepted.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
  • 4 night minimum stay period applies to Christmas and Easter peak periods.

If you do need to cancel your booking our cancellation policy is as follows:

STANDARD RATE PLAN

Low season:

Deposit: 1 night accommodation due at the time of booking, balance is due 7 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation: 100% accommodation fee applies if booking is cancelled within 7 days of arrival.

Peak season (all school holidays and long weekends):

Deposit: 20% deposit due at the time of booking or 1 night accommodation, whichever is greater, balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation: 100% accommodation fee applies if booking is cancelled within 30 days of arrival.

LONG STAY RATE PLAN

Deposit: 1 week deposit is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable, balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation: 100% accommodation fee applies if booking is cancelled within 30 days of arrival. 1 week deposit is non-refundable.
