Centrally located right on The Esplanade in Scarness, The Bay Apartments are directly opposite one of Hervey Bay’s best swimming beaches. The Esplanade spans over 16 kilometres from Urangan to Point Vernon.

Scarness offers shops, restaurants, cafes on the beach, children’s playground and a large grassed Esplanade area with gazebos and seating to take in the beautiful blue waters of the bay.

Take a casual 10 minute stroll to Torquay shops and restaurants or a walk or drive to Wetside Water Park on the Esplanade in Pialba.

How do I fly to Hervey Bay?

Direct flights operate daily from Brisbane and Sydney into Hervey Bay Airport (HVB). The Bay Apartments are located just a 15-minute drive from the airport. Taxis and ride-share services are available upon arrival. When possible, our team may be able to assist with airport collection - please request this at the time of booking.

How far is the drive from Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast?

Hervey Bay is an easy and scenic drive along the Bruce Highway.

  • From Brisbane - Approximately a 3.5-hour drive.

  • From the Sunshine Coast - Approximately a 2-hour drive.

Where is the entrance and reception for The Bay Apartments?

While our physical address is 371 The Esplanade, Scarness, our vehicle entrance and reception are located at the rear of the building at 48 Freshwater Street, Scarness. When arriving in town, follow the signs to the Esplanade and then turn into Freshwater Street to check in.
